Ten Years of Real Experience

Capstone has had its own office and team of instructors since 2003. While ten years doesn’t seem like much, these are dedicated years of experience in working with top students and helping them achieve their academic dreams. New tutorial centers seem to open every month with founders/websites citing both “years” of experience in helping students succeed and exemplary records of achievement from their students. We encourage parents and students to verify the achievements of Capstone students through reviewing the testimonials on this website as well as through asking others. After all, it is not only the immediate financial cost of the education, but also the opportunity cost a child incurs when an education resource fails to satisfy his or her specific needs.

Expertise in Developing Talented Youth

For our enrichment programs, critical thinking has been the driving priority since the inception of our first course (Academic Writing in 2004). In 2006, when we began our first Debate & Analysis programs, we again stressed the importance of critical thinking in students’ long-term leadership development. Each year, we re-adjust the curriculum to reflect the changing needs, attention spans and growing intelligence of our students, but we have never wavered from the objective to encourage and teach students to analyze critically. While a growing number of companies are now just beginning to offer “critical thinking” or “logic” courses, Capstone consistently demonstrates our critical thinking capacity, from when we became a pioneer in the private education sector to the ongoing innovation in creation of these courses.

University Acceptance Record

While only a small number of students are at graduating age each year, the achievements accumulated by this group has been extraordinary, reflecting a combination of their talents and our ability to cater to their academic needs. In the last three years (2010 – 2013) our graduating students have gained acceptance into nearly every top US and UK University, including Harvard, Stanford, Oxford, Cambridge, Princeton, Brown, MIT and others. For those who remained in Hong Kong, acceptances to prestigious and ultra-selective programs including HKU Medicine, HKU BBA-Law, and HKUST Global BBA are commonplace.

Student Achievement

A quick review of our students’ achievements in 2012/13 underline the strength of our programs. Our current crop of students include 2012's and 2013's #1 Junior Debater, many of the finalists in the Standard Chartered Public Speaking Competition’s Junior and Senior Division, Hong Kong's Model United Nations student chairman, and an overwhelmingly large number of award winners in various competitions involving advanced written or spoken communication. Capstone has a reputation even amongst students for consistently being involved with the development of top academic performers across Hong Kong.
