The Founder

The founder and principal, Ronald Po, continues to teach every week. By remaining in the roles of instructor and leader, Ronald ensures that Capstone never wavers from its founding belief that success will come from serving students first. While Capstone has grown every year and enjoys a reputation as a leading education center for high achievers, Ronald also intentionally limits the growth of Capstone’s offerings and student enrollment to ensure that the quality of teachers and courses never recede. At Capstone, we have shown time and time again that the first priority is always the students’ education quality.

Inspiring Instructors

Capstone recruits from the top universities in the world to seek out individuals who can serve as both instructors and role models. Because we have years of experience in teaching academically strong students, we know the “type” of instructors required by star students. While our instructors come from leading schools including Harvard, MIT, Cornell, Swarthmore, Williams and UPenn, their academic credentials alone were not why they were hired – equally important, they motivate classrooms, possess unique life experiences, and passionately inspire our students to dream bigger.

As of current, almost all of our instructors are recruited from overseas and are brought here specifically to teach for Capstone and its select group of students. While our instructors have dazzling resumes from prestigious universities, we believe students will find our instructors to be a rare breed of motivational, knowledgeable and caring. One interesting note about Capstone is that there is no one “superstar” instructor, instead, nearly every instructor here is incredibly popular and has his or her own parent and student “fans”.

One last note. Every Capstone instructor is full-time. This highlights the commitment our teachers make to Capstone’s students. It is important for parents and students to know that instructors' primary objective is to serve the students.

Star Students

Many Capstone students are superstar achievers. Some Capstone students are known throughout their schools - and sometimes even Hong Kong - for their academic and extracurricular achievements.

Students are naturally competitive and adapt to their environment, whether positive or negative. If a hardworking student was placed within a class of lazy students, chances are the hardworking student would turn lazier in time. With Capstone, we have a great luxury few education centers have; the overwhelming majority of our students are intelligent and of good character. When they are put together and our instructors point them in the right direction, they progress much faster than students in “typical” classes because their fellow classmates, and our instructors, encourages everyone to develop at a more intense pace.

Many students see substantial improvement in their academic standing at school after studying at Capstone for a period of time. For students who didn’t start off at the top international or local schools, many successfully transfer into these schools afterwards. Finally, the students who have gone through our program typically leave for leading US/UK boarding schools or elite US/UK universities.
