In July 2012, Capstone will open a dedicated center in Causeway Bay to serve Hong Kong's top primary students. With courses and instructors specially selected to serve students from the 2nd to 6th grade, the Capstone Primary section will maintain the vision of Capstone in developing Asia's most ambitious and talented youth into academic superstars and future leaders. The main offerings initially will be Primary versions of our Writing, Debate, and Scholars programs and the addition of admissions consulting services for students targeting transfer into elite international schools.
We decided to expand to include a primary center for two reasons: firstly, because we noticed that top primary students with great academic and leadership potential had no clear destination to unleash their talents and, secondly, because we realize that preparation for school, university, and life success is ideally initiated at an early age. Capstone Primary Section is founded on the belief that all primary students are entitled to a rigorous learning environment that prepares them with the leadership skills to make a positive and significant contribution to their community.
For those already familiar with Capstone's success with Middle School, and Senior Secondary students, let us reassure parents that we have made the same commitment in hiring the best instructors and will continue the teaching legacy that has made our students so consistently successful. Just as our older students dominate all major academic competitions and achieve great success in boarding school and university admissions, so we expect this unrivaled record of achievement to continue at our Primary center.
While Capstone Primary will have extensive collaboration with our Secondary center, the Primary center will be staffed by an teaching team that is unmatched by any other private education organization in Hong Kong. Spearheading the day-to-day instructor and curriculum development will be Lindsay, a talented, capable teacher with extensive academic and professional education experience including possessing a Doctorate in Education from USC and having taught as an Assistant Professor of Childhood Education (with a focus on Critical Thinking and Childhood Development) at a New York college. Joining her will be specially hired instructors who possess the typical Capstone academic achievement and engaging personality, but also have teaching experiences with younger children.
